The automobile industry cybersecurity consortium Auto-ISAC signed an agreement with the U.S. DHS to collaborate on vehicle cybersecurity threat information sharing and analysis. This will allow for real time monitoring and response to emergent security events. This is especially important, because increased automation of vehicles brings cybersecurity within the scope of functional safety (ISO 26262, designed to ultimately protect life and limb).
